Dr Ashwini Jain is an veteran and renowned Ophthalmologist specialising in anterior segment, topical phacoemulsification, cornea, glaucoma, medical retina, DCR, ICL, Lasik and lid surgeries. He can be met for consultation at the Jain Eye Hospital on GT Road in Shahdara, where he has been working since 1999. In addition, he is a Visiting Consultant at the Chaudhary Eye Centre (Daryaganj), and the Balkh Hospital in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. After completing his MBBS from MS Ramaiah Medical College in 1993, Dr Jain obtained an MS in Ophthalmology from Rostov State Medical University in Russia. In addition he has a Diploma in Ophthalmic Medicine and Surgery (DOMS) from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur. Dr Jain has also undergone specialised training in various aspects of Ophthalmology, including a fellowship at Aravind Eye Hospital (Madurai), covering the topics of lasers in diabetic retinopathy and medical retina.
