Dr K P Suresh Kumar is the Chief Cardiologist at Kauvery Hospital, Alwarpet, Mylapore, Chennai. He has vast experience in both non-invasive and invasive Cardiology, having been in practice since 1993. He has performed over 15,000 Coronary Angiograms and 2,500 Cardiac Catheterisations (from neonates to adults). He has also performed more than 4,000 Coronary Angioplasty procedures with stenting, Renal Angioplasty, Carotid Angioplasty, Balloon Mitral Valvotomy, Balloon Pulmonary Valvotomy, PDA/ASD Device Closure and Permanent Pacemaker implantation, with excellent results. Dr Suresh Kumar is an expert in radial artery interventions. He believes in honest, ethical medical practice with empathy. He efficiently combines clinical expertise with evidence-based medicine. Prior to his current posts, Dr Suresh Kumar was a Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at the Fortis Malar Hospital, Chennai, from 1999-2013. Other hospitals he has worked at include Christian Medical College Hospital, Vellore; Trichur Heart Hospital; Salmaniya Medical Centre, Bahrain; and, Madras Medical Mission, Chennai.
