Dr Senthil Velan is a specialist in shoulder elbow and wrist surgery with over 11 years of experience. He is proficient in arthroscopic sub-acromial decompressions, arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs, arthroscopic instability repairs, elbow instability repairs, shoulder resurfacing procedures, elbow replacements, wrist arthroscopies and mid carpal procedures. He was instrumental in setting up Ph.D. Studentship in Bournemouth University, UK for development of a new pressure sensor for shoulder replacements and he is one of the supervisors for the same. He has also undertaken shoulder reverse geometry replacements which only few surgeons do in the country. He has performed more than 1500 shoulder, elbow and wrist surgeries.
