DrMaharajan Chandrasekaran is a pioneer in the field of Endocrine Surgery in India with more than 32 years of experience in the field of Surgery. He has spent over 25 long years doing only Endocrine Surgery at Madras, the medical Mecca of India. He was the Professor & Head of the Department of Endocrine Surgery at Madras Medical College from 1999-2012. He is a founder member of the Indian Association of Endocrine Surgeons and the first national secretary for the IAES. He was the President of IAES for the year 2009. He has seen over 27,000 patients with thyromegaly and has performed over 5,700 thyroidectomies in the last 25 years. This is perhaps one of the largest one man series in Asia!
